Signs Of Progress For Revs In Draw With MetroStars
by Robert Lee (Result | Providence Journal - )
It's said that all good things must come to an end. The New England Revolution, however, refuse to buy into that theory. Needing a win or a tie to boost their confidence after beginning the year with a sub-par 1-3-2 start, the Revolution faced a MetroStars club that had not beaten them in eight consecutive meetings. more details | go to article

by Jim Donaldson (Profile/Interview | Providence Journal - )
What can you say about Freddy Adu, the 14-year-old phenom who comes to Foxboro tonight with D.C. United to play the New England Revolution? That he is to soccer what Mozart was to music -- a child prodigy, with a talent and understanding of his art far beyond his years. more details | go to article

The collective sigh of relief heaved by the United States National Team could be felt across Columbus Crew Stadium yesterday afternoon as the squad headed to the locker at halftime. Wizards Improve Road Record Against The Revolution
by Shalise Manza Young (Result | Providence Journal - )
When last they met, New England handed Kansas City its first home loss in nine games dating back to last season. The Revolution had no such undefeated streak at Gillette Stadium going into last night's game. In fact, it was the Wizards who have enjoyed some success in Foxboro in recent years, having gone 3-0-1 on the Revs' home field in the teams' previous four meetings. Make that 4-0-1 over the last five. more details | go to article

Boy's Quick Thinking Begets Revolution
by Richard C. Dujardin (Article | Providence Journal - )
Home with the flu, 12-year-old Bobby Botelho was looking out his window on Greenwood Avenue several weeks ago when he saw something strange: a pair of legs sticking out the back of his neighbor's van. Going out to investigate, he found his neighbor Tom Ciavola lying unconscious half inside the van. Knowing that Ciavola would occasionally get life-threatening epileptic seizures, he ran back home and called 911 -- staying on the line until rescue workers arrived. more details | go to article

New England Welcomes Win
by Shalise Manza Young (Result | Providence Journal - )
With the New England Revolution in the grips of a three-game losing streak and a few pulled muscles away from not being able to field a full team, the New York/New Jersey MetroStars pulled into Gillette Stadium at just the right time. Despite coming into the game atop the MLS Eastern Conference standings, and New England having the worst record in the league, the MetroStars once again came up short against the rival Revs, as New England got a much-needed 2-1 win that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate. more details | go to article

by Shalise Manza Young (Profile/Interview | Providence Journal - )
He has yet to step onto the field for the New England Revolution in a game situation, but Perek Belleh is already planning the way he'll celebrate his first professional goal. Tie With Crew Keeps Revolution Barely In Hunt
by Shalise Manza Young (Result | Providence Journal - )
The good news? The New England Revolution are undefeated in their last five games. The not-so-good news? Four of those results were one-point draws rather than three-point wins, after yesterday's 2-2 tie with Columbus, and the Revs aren't making much headway in the Eastern Conference standings. more details | go to article

Revs Need To Get Ball Rolling
by Shalise Manza Young (Preview | Providence Journal - )
Seeing as they've done it in each of the last two seasons, is it too much to think that the New England Revolution will make another late run for the playoffs? With a dozen games to go and saddled with the worst record in Major League Soccer (4-8-6, 18 points), the Revs aren't quite sure it's dire straits time, but it is getting close. more details | go to article

Wizards Spell The End Of Revs' Winning Streak
by Shalise Manza Young (Result | Providence Journal - )
It's not often that Revolution head coach Steve Nicol shows frustration -- or for that matter, sheer joy -- when it comes to his team, but last night he expressed his displeasure after New England's 2-1 loss to Kansas City on a wet night at Gillette Stadium. "We didn't have enough leaders on the field. We looked disorganized. It didn't look as though we were ready to die for it," Nicol said. more details | go to article
